Brough Lodge

An unusual building, originally built for Sir Arthur Nicholson in 1825. Nothing is known about the 'building' of the Lodge; the chapel incorporated a red stone bricks not local to the area and boasted unique architecture, said to be inspired from Arthur's many trips abroad. The photos were taken in 2009, since then significant work has been undertaken to sustain the longevity of the site; but as always, more funds are required.
